Anakin was born on Tatooine to Shmi Skywalker. He lived the life of a slave in
Mos Espa until age seven. During that time, he was owned by Gardola the Hutt and Watto the Toydarian (Who won Anakin and Shmi
as a bet). During this time he was also a podracer and skillful mechanic. He also built C3PO.
When he was seven, Anakin met Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi, two Jedi who landed
on Tatooine because their ship needed repairs. Anakin also met Padme Amidala (Queen of Naboo), who was traveling with the
Jedi. They helped Anakin become a Jedi by betting Watto that he could win the Boonta Eve Podrace. When Anakin won, he set
out to become Obi-Wan's apprentice.
